Broadway-Bound: Let's Send our 7th Graders to see Hamilton!

Growing Up Green is very excited to announce that we will be sending all of our 7th graders to see Hamilton on Broadway in June!

This exciting field trip fits into our one-of-a-kind, hands-on, experiential learning philosophy. Hamilton: An American Musical, is a biographical musical based on the life of Founding Father, Alexander Hamilton, and was written by NYC native, Lin-Manuel Miranda. Fitting into our 7th grade curriculum of early American history, this show has been described by Miranda as "America then, as told by America now," and ties into our Core Value of Social Justice by casting people of color as historically white Founding Fathers and other historical figures.

We are asking our community to lean into our Core Values of Collaboration & Kindness to help raise the funds to purchase tickets for this quintessential New York experience and set a precedent for all of our 7th graders to come to have a similar opportunity funded in future years.
